Dr. Douglas Browning is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, and completed residency in family medicine at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. His sports medicine training included a rotation at The Cleveland Clinic, Dept of Orthopedic Surgery and a two year fellowship at Hughston Orthopedic Clinic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, GA.

His extensive career experience includes numerous positions as team physician, staff physician in hospital, outpatient, and orthopedic practices, as well as several teaching and supervising positions. His past clinical leadership positions include Medical Director at Sports Medicine Associates in Winston-Salem and Program Director at Novant SportsMed.
